INC announces Lois Thome as 2025 Gala M.C., March 5th

NAPLES, FL (December 20, 2024) — The International Network of Creatives welcomes Lois Thome, a nationally recognized award-winning news anchor, and journalist, as Mistress of Ceremonies for its second annual Spring into the Arts Gala Luncheon and Fashion Show, Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at the Naples Grande.

Honoring Distinguished Women in the Arts

INC will honor and celebrate distinguished women in the arts: Emily James, Patty Baker, Harriet Heithaus, Dr. Jeanie Darnell, Sue Huff, and Lois Thome.

For over 32 years, the people of Southwest Florida have turned to Lois Thome for their news.  A trusted source, Lois anchors WINK News at 5, WINK News at 6, and WINK News at 7.

Lois has garnered many awards for her work, including being named the Best News Anchor in Southwest Florida, Woman of the Year by Gulfshore Life magazine, and Outstanding Business Partner by the Florida Library Association.

“We are honored to have the talented Lois Thome as our 2025 M.C. INC is grateful for the contributions and impact these six extraordinary women have made on the Southwest Florida community and beyond,” said Dr. Bill Barnett, INC President and Founder. “It is our joy to honor them at our second annual Spring into the Arts Gala this coming March. Their significant arts accomplishments foster a legacy for the next generation of creatives. We invite the Southwest Florida community to celebrate these amazing women with us at the gala.”

Lois is very involved in her community. For 25 years, she has volunteered for the Southwest Florida Reading Festival and helped raise millions of dollars for the Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida, which feeds those in need in our community. Lois and her husband, John, live in Fort Myers with their two children.

“I’m honored to host an event that helps the hurt heal through art. I’m passionate about art and the well-being of our neighbors and this organization brings those two together,” said Lois Thome
